One of the best Movies released in 2018, A Spoof Movie that leaves Only Aliens & Takes Content from 1970's Rajni's Career Start Hit Movies to Unreleased Films which are going to get released later in 2019. The Director has done only 2 films so far, but it looks like it was made by a veteran.
It has some logical loop holes, but you'll forget it & enjoy shiva's Underrated Awesome sense of Humor. It's a must Watch. Even it Borrowed scenes from Game of Thrones. The only spoof ever Released with a content interconnecting it's First Part.

This is sequel of Tamil Padam 1. Same story line without story. This is spoof movie as everyone know about it. But this time the making went to the extreme spoof of current politics and the main targets are the leading actors of Tamil Industry.
The title song alone has all the guts to talk about leading actors, especially the line, I want U rating, Mass Opening and I don't care about people.
This movie has all the touch point to the references from most of the hit movies. Vettaiyadu Vilayadu Instinct, Remo Nurse and many more bringing the LOL out of the audience.
Siva as usual dialog delivery hero and the Villain Sathish's character chould have been better. There is no scope for Sathish.
Heroin Iswarya Menon will be hit. Songs are already hit. Music, Camera did their good part.
Second half has some lagging which could have done better to keep the laugh momentum.
This is laughter movie. So no hard feelings.

Warning: SpoilersRight from the title card of 'Agila Ulaga Super Star' till the climax scene of 'Patti Killing Shiva' it was a packaged entertainer.
It is treat for Tamil Nadu people and, the fans of all heroes. The trolling done in this movie does not spare anyone whether it Rajinikanth (or) any current political leader.
The content of this movie could be understood only by the people who have watched almost all tamil movies, international TV series and, politics in tamil nadu.
Thoroughly this film has a wonderful opportunity of attaining huge profit margin !
Watch it in theaters and, support this type of experimental movies
Laughter guaranteed :)

I was very much looking forward to this movie because of the impact of the First part , i still distinctively remember and recite the scenes that had been spoofed in that movie.
The movie retained most of it's core cast (most sequel movies in Tamil do not do that) which is a good thing but no matter how hardly you watch it you couldn't laugh as much as you did for the first part.
It may be a spoof movie but the first part had story arc and crazy conviction which is missing in this part. First part released in 2010 where spoof movies are hardly known to people of Tamil, so it's kind of trendsetting for that time. It's been 8 years since the first part released Tamil audience's cinematic knowledge and knowledge about world cinema has improved a lot. storytellers and actors should have that in their mind.
I hardly laughed for most scenes.

A much-needed laugh riotPermalink
It's very easy to make fun of Tamil Cinema. But, you need creativity to make fun and at the same time, pay homage to the industry. Thamizh Padam 2 does that exactly. The film spoofs a plethora of films from Katthi to Saamy, Vedhalam, VTV, Thevar Magan and even Kabali to name a few. It was a relief to see Shiva return as 'Shiva', the universal cop and 'Agila Ulaga Super Star'.
The film is fast-paced except for a flashback portion that - much like flashbacks in any Tamil movie - is slow and pulls down the film's pants. The songs were a distraction. For one, they were not as epic or memorable as 'Oh Maha Zeeya' or 'Kuthu Vilakku' or even 'Pacha Manja' from the first film. Thamizh Padam 2's title song was the best of the entire lot.
Ishwarya Menon fits the bill as the writer calls it 'maida maavu colour ponnu'. Sathish reprises his role from the first film and is upgraded to the chief antagonist. I enjoyed the callbacks to the first film and the parody of news channels was spot-on.
Overall, Thamizh Padam 2 was a good, enjoyable flick. You should definitely add it to your watchlist.

time waste- better watch important scenes in youtube
jehosh199018 November 2018
The first part didnt have so many expectations as there was no social media frenzy during its release. But this part had a lot of expectations riding on them because of their creative posters released during promotion. But the movie fails miserably. very few scenes are good . Overall its a time waste watching this movie. The final time machine part is a horrible one. And heroine looks like a group dancer.

Boring onePermalink
kalaiarasane-189-30104618 July 2018
Not so funny. Overall a 20 mins of movie is good. Too much of anything is good for nothing that's the apt saying for this movie. The director thought that audience would laugh at every screen put on the screen the screenplay is made in such a way. I almost felt asleep for most of the part of the movie. I have no idea why people laugh at so many scenes which aren't funny at all. This is the thing which made these kind of directors to make such a crappy movies. The formula here is that make fun of Ajith so that vijay fans would laugh and vice versa. All so hypes, posters and sneak peek were good expect for the movie. Sadly, I cannot recommendate this movie for anyone.

Although it was a spoof film with huge opportunities to keep the audiences engaged and though there were tiny laughing scenes, it was overall not at all worth it. Was not at all worth to watch it in theatres for sure. My friend who came along almost slept in the 2nd half. It was that much horrible.

A compilation of troll worthy moments which audiences were subjected to, in the last eight years

Tamizh Padam 2
CS Amudhan
Shiva, Sathish, Ishwarya, Disha, Kalairani
Director CS Amudhan and Shiva had the guts to introduce spoof genre to Tamil cinema with their first collaboration Tamizh Padam in 2010. This hilarious combo is back with a sequel - a compilation of troll worthy moments which audiences were subjected to, in the last eight years.
The original version had restricted itself only to Tamil cinema but in part 2, Amudhan has gone international by making fun of epic scenes from classics like Forrest Gump, The Silence of the Lambs and Game of Thrones!
Shiva (Shiva) is no longer associated with the police department and leads a happy life with his grandmother and wife in his native village Cinemapatti but the government seeks his help to control a caste riot. Shiva comes to know that it is the underworld gangster P (Sathish) who is seeking revenge...so the cat and mouse game begins!
Watch the trailer here:
Also watch - deleted scene:
To be honest, the first half of the film seems too long with needless songs and few bland comedy scenes. As the original version was hilarious, we expect the film to be extremely funny from the word go but things starts falling into place in the second half. However, CS Amudhan has packed the film with continuous laugh-worthy moments including the funny item song of Kasthuri.
As usual, Shiva introduced as Agila Ulaga Superstar steals the show here with his straight face and smart one-liners. His comedy image and likable face is a big plus and he totally owns the film. Sathish too gets huge scope to make us laugh as P and he gets to sport multiple get ups. Iswarya Menon, who has multiple roles to play, looks not only cute but she has done her parts well.
The biggest strength of the film is that the writing and gags are ruthless which takes potshots at top stars like Rajinikanth, Ajith, Vijay, Suriya, Karthi, Vikram, Sivakarthikeyan, demonetisation, Sasikala to ADMK and BJP politicians. Amudhan's candid style of trolling stars and scenes from biggies in the past and one's to come (2point0) works well.
Also see: Fans are loving Tamizh Padam 2 posters, no one is spared!
However the best scenes were the ones in which Simbu falls in love with Trisha (Vinnaithandi Varuvaaya), loosu ponnu heroines, the climax scene in Vivegam where Kajal Aggarwal sings a motivational song and gets killed, Suriya's Bodhi Dharman character in 7am Arivu, Baahubali scenes and Kamal Haasan’sThevar Magan.
(Sample this - Q: Don't you know the meaning of Vivegam?
A: Yes, it is doing exercise in Bulgaria :-) )
(Sample this - Q: Don't you know the meaning of Vivegam?
A: Yes, it is doing exercise in Bulgaria :-) )
Amudhan also shows the heroes friends who are in their late 50's and early 60's as college students (Mano Bala, Santhana Bharathi and Soundarrajan) pokes fun at regular commercial elements in Tamil cinema like breaking into song 'n' dance in foreign locations, Intro song for hero and item songs for masses.
On the down side, the length of the film could have been lesser by 15 minutes and the historic flashback portions in the second half turns tiring. But on the whole, Tamizh Padam 2 is fun unlimited. We’ve become so accustomed to vulgarity in the name of humour that we’ve forgotten to appreciate clean comedies. Sometimes, a good laugh is all you need to make your day. Don’t miss this one.
Tamizh Padam 2 Verdict: Thumbs up for this laugh riot

Rajasekar @sekartweets: #TamizhPadam2 - @csamudhan and Agila Ulaga Superstar @actorshiva trolling international films too - Forrest Gump, The Silence of the Lambs anf Game of Thrones Khaleesi . Second half thoroughly enjoyable with Baahubali, Viswasam, Vedalam. Shiva has become eternal now!
Sreedhar Pillai @sri50: #ThamizhPadam2 A howlarious fun ride from @csamudhan who has spoofed almost the entire battalion of superstars and their memorable hits. @actorshiva is right at the epicentre of this laughathon & carries the show with @actorsathish playing the perfect foil. Enjoyable.
Sathish Kumar M @sathishmsk: #TamizhPadam2 First half - References of various actors & movies as expected. #Shiva manages to make audience laugh with mokkai comedy dialogues to some extent. @actorsathish gets excellent scope in the movie with various getups. #TP1 Songs & Screenplay was better.
Sidhu @sidhuwrites: #TamizhPadam2: Punchy stress buster. CS Amudhan tackles a variety of films, people and politics to arrange a sequel that's not as laugh-a-minute as the first, but still brings up a truck of laughs. Entertainment guaranteed!
